ThumbForge is powered by a multi-stage AI pipeline that goes beyond simple image generation:
The AI analyzes your video title to detect the content niche, target audience, and optimal visual psychology (curiosity gap, emotional trigger, authority signal).
Using Google's Gemini Imagen engine, we generate a high-resolution background image with style-specific modifiers (cinematic, gaming, minimal, bold, corporate, lifestyle).
The Fabric.js-powered editor places typography with proper hierarchy, enforces platform-specific safe zones, and lets you customize fonts, colors, and layout.
Every generation respects platform-specific safe zones — the areas of a thumbnail that remain visible and unobstructed by YouTube's UI overlays. For standard 16:9 thumbnails, this means avoiding the timestamp region in the bottom-right. For Shorts (9:16), the bottom 25% is reserved for the title and the right edge for action buttons.
